Academic Programs
Graduate Certificate Program (Online):
Tuition & Payment
Tuition & Fees
The complete set of six courses can be taken for a total of 18 graduate credit hours. Once you are admitted to the program, you will choose between two enrollment/payment options.
Option 1 allows you to enroll only once for the entire set of six courses. The full amount of tuition and fees is billed by the Cashier’s Office upon enrollment in order to lock in current tuition and avoid increases that will occur prior to completion of the certificate. The current fee of $7,920 includes tuition, course fees, some course materials, practice exams, and case assignments. The cost does not include textbooks (approximately $600 to $800), or the CFP® Certification Examination fee. The CFP® Certification Examination is administered and awarded by CFP Board.
Option 2 allows you to enroll and pay for each course separately. There will be an administrative fee of $100 per course added to the current rate of tuition. For each course, students will be required to pay the current tuition rate at the time of enrollment, unlike Option 1, which allows students to pay for all six courses at once and avoid any tuition increases over the length of the program. Students choosing this option will be responsible for enrolling in each of the six courses individually.
Enrolling
You will be given a link to use for online enrollment once you have been admitted by the K-State Graduate School.
Students begin the program in either August or January.
Courses may be directly applied to K-State's Personal Financial Planning master's degree program. In addition to enrolling online through the Division of Continuing Education, students interested in enrolling in the sessions for college credit must apply, and be accepted, into K-State's Graduate School.
Payment
Following your formal admission to K-State, the K-State Controller’s Office will send an e-mail to your K-State e-mail account indicating your tuition invoice for the full amount is ready to be viewed on your iSIS account around the 15th of each month.
See payment options.
Option 1 - The Kansas State University Division of Continuing Education Tuition Installment Payment Plan (DCE-TIPP) for Annual Programs is only available to students selecting Option 1 and cannot be used for other courses. The 12-month plan enables students to spread their payments over 12 continuous months. There is a $10 charge each month eligilble students are enrolled in the TIPP plan. If payment is not received on the due date of each month the account will be assessed an additional default fee of 1.5% of the past due balance. The form will be mailed to students in Option 1 shortly before the program begins.
Students enrolling through option 2 may use the standard 4-month Tuition Installment Payment Plan (TIPP).
